Future wars will be fought in multiple domains to include land, sea, air, space and cyberspace. Due to the complexity of such a battle-space, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is going to play a predominant role in the conduct of warfare. AI will be incorporated in the Decision Support Systems to bring in greater efficiency and precision with data incorporation to achieve an optimised use of multiple sensor and weapon platforms. However, this incorporation of AI in critical autonomous systems like SSMs and SAMs has its own risks.

To be prepared to use AI tomorrow we need to capture a huge amount of data that emanates as we use our current systems today for future development, training and testing of AI. It’s an area that requires immediate focus to be prepared for the technology-driven battlefield scenario of tomorrow.
