Eph 2 - In a position to win

● You used to be: dead in trespasses, walking the
way the world walks, ruled by the lust of your flesh
& mind, children of wrath, without Christ, aliens,
strangers, hopeless, without God, far off,
separated, strangers, foreigners, against God

● You are now: Alive, loved, together, raised up,
seated, saved, His workmanship, near, at peace
with God, new, reconciled, have access to God,
citizens, members of the household of God, a
dwelling place for God

Col 2:11-15 - Free to Win

1. He has made us alive together with Him.

2. He has forgiven us of our sins, set us free from the
captivity of sin, and Jude says it this way that God
is able to keep us from stumbling.

3. New Living says it this way “He canceled the record
of the charges against us and took it away by
nailing it to the cross.”

4. He has disarmed principalities and powers. You
might say it this way “No weapon formed against
you shall prosper” or maybe you like the way

Psalms 91 says it “no evil will befall you nor shall
any plague come near your dwelling, for the Lord
has given His angels charge over me and they
keep me in all my ways”

Ability to Win

Ez. 36:26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit
within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh
and give you a heart of flesh. 27 I will put My Spirit
within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and
you will keep My judgments and do them.

Purposed to Win

Mark 16:15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world
and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who
believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does
not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will
follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out
demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will
take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it
will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the
sick, and they will recover.”

Empowered to Win

Luke 10:19 Behold, I give you the authority to trample
on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of
the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

● Authority (empowerment): power that’s been
given to someone to do something with.

● Interesting that a serpent attacks with their heads,
and scorpions attack with their tails.

● Whether you see it coming or not, God has still
given us power to overcome.

We Have the Coms to Win

1. Rom 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our
weaknesses. For we do not know what we should
pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes
intercession for us with groanings which cannot be
uttered.

2. John 15:15 No longer do I call you servants, for a
servant does not know what his master is doing;
but I have called you friends, for all things that I
heard from My Father I have made known to you.
