As social distancing restrictions are relaxed, geopolitical tensions have increased with Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The Bruthas give their black-centric views on this international conflict and then, turn their attention domestically to discuss President Biden’s nomination of Ketanji Brown Jackson to the U.S. Supreme Court. If confirmed, Justice Jackson will become the first African-American woman on the High Court. That said, in a classic example of one step forward and two steps back, the Bruthas will also provide their legal analyses of two recent cases in which police officers were exonerated for their parts in the shooting of an autistic man’s caretaker and the brutal killing of Breonna Taylor.
