Slogans and mantras are used to promote specific ideologies within a culture. We often hear slogans so much that they become ingrained in our thinking and we do not scrutinize them as we should. In this week’s episode, we discuss logical fallacies and how to spot bad logic in mantras and slogans that we often hear regarding LGBTQ+ ideology. We need to assess arguments based on their reason and evidence, but so often slogans lack both. Instead, our culture seems to be content with promoting strong emotional pleas, circular reasoning, name-calling, and appeals to popularity. We hope that this episode will help you to spot these logical fallacies in common cultural slogans, as well as talk with your friends, family, and neighbors about the reasons for holding to a biblical sexual ethic.
