Today's guest is Matthew Thomas.

Matthew is the Chief Deputy of the Pinal County Sheriff's Office, a former Pinal Regional SWAT team commander, Mexican cartel expert, and bestselling author.

He has served with the Pinal County Sheriff's Office for over 30 years. Before becoming the Chief Deputy, Matthew served in Detention, Patrol, Traffic, Training, Academy, Narcotics, Motors, and Investigations. While working in the Narcotics unit, Matthew worked undercover, taking part in street-level drug busts to large cartel cases.

Additionally, Matthew spent 18 years with the Pinal County Sheriff's Office SWAT team as a member, team lead, and commander. During that time, he participated in over 700 missions.

Matthew served as the regional representative and Vice President of the Arizona Tactical Officers' Association and conducts training for agencies focused on tactics, narcotics, Mexican cartels, trafficking, and leadership. His work includes spearheading operations targeting Mexican cartels at the local, state, and federal levels.

He is the author of Interceptors: The Untold Fight Against the Mexican Cartels.
