Leading as a team with Anatoliy Sapsay (David Snead Ukraine Missions #014)
Manage episode 337518763 series 3382511
Today I have a very special treat for you guys if you are interested in learning more about leadership. I’m interviewing a good friend, Anatoliy Sapsay, who is one of the local leadership coaches for Innovista and is one of the pastors at “Christ the Savior” church – our church’s “grandmother church” (their church planted the church that eventually planted ours). Anatoliy has been instrumental in restructuring the leadership at our church, guiding us through hard conversations, long meetings, and making important decisions together.
If you are a few years into a church plant and feel like you’re “stuck,” this is the man to go to! I cannot think of someone better here in Ukraine than Anatoliy to lead you through the processes that are needed to take a church from a small, “family fellowship” to a larger, more-mature organization as it grows beyond the numbers of what one person could pastor by themselves.
If you would like to contact Anatoliy, I recommend messaging him on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/anatoliy.sapsay
If you would like to contact Innovista here in Ukraine, check out their Facebook page (in Ukrainian) here: https://www.facebook.com/innovista.org.ua/
If you would like to give to their work here in Ukraine, you can here: https://innovista.org/ukraine-easter-appeal/
If you would like to know more about Innovista as an organization internationally, you can check out their website here: https://innovista.org/
We talked today about Anatoliy’s favorite leadership books. Here are a couple of authors that he mentioned and how to find their books on Amazon:
Patrick Lencioni (also one of my favorites) - https://www.amazon.com/s?i=stripbooks&rh=p_27%3APatrick+Lencioni
My favorite book of his so far is The Five Dysfunctions of a Team, which you can find here - https://www.amazon.com/Five-Dysfunctions-Team-Leadership-Lencioni-ebook/dp/B006960LQW/
John Maxwell (another one of my favorites) - https://www.amazon.com/John-C-Maxwell/e/B001H6NROC
One of his books that has affected me almost as much as any other (not counting the Bible, of course) is The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership, which you can find here - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ETK5N5O/
We also talked about the Lviv Global Leadership Summit. That's a great place for leaders to get new ideas, and I'm a little biased, because the organizers of that conference here are friends of mine. Their website is here: https://gls.org.ua/
Lastly, we talked about Dr. Johannes Reimer, who is a German author that has been very influential in post-Soviet churches. You can find his works in German on Amazon here - https://www.amazon.com/Johannes-Reimer/e/B00455KWDG
You can also find his works in Ukrainian or Russian here - https://www.kniga.org.ua/author/johannes-reamer/
