The Makelas discuss their journey to adoption, which began when they discovered they were unable to have children naturally. They share their experiences with both open and closed adoptions, and the unique challenges and joys that come with adopting older children. Despite the difficulties, the Makelas affirm that they would choose adoption again and encourage others considering it to seek information and support.
