We discussed: how relevant Assata's experiences still are today, connections to Ava Duvernay's 13th (watch it on Netflix NOW, people!!!), the travesty that this was the first we've heard of Assata, the structure of the back-and-forth timeline of Assata's story, how impressive Assata was (even at such a young age), appreciation for the adults in young Assata's life who helped her, next steps, and mooooore.
