We are all chemists! Every day we are doing chemistry in our own homes. When we eat and prepare food, we are actually doing chemistry. In the preparation of food, a lot of different chemical reactions are happening that create new and tasty molecules. We then eat these molecules and digestive reactions begin in our bodies. Yet, even before the food ends up in our kitchen, there is a lot of chemistry involved in the production and storage of the food.
