Welcome to the Elevator World News Podcast. Today’s podcast news podcast is sponsored by elevatorbooks.com: www.elevatorbooks.com TKE PROVIDING 20 VT UNITS TO NEW HMGIC IN SINGAPORE TK Elevator (TKE) is providing 20 vertical-transportation (VT) units — 16 elevators and four escalators — to the new Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Center (HMGIC) in Jurong Innovation District in Singapore, TKE Senior Sales Consultant Nazeer Ahamed said on LinkedIn. Ground was broken virtually in October 2020 on what will be Singapore's first electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing facility, slated for completion in late 2022. Occupying a 44,000-m2 footprint, it consists of a seven-story, 28,000-m2 building that Hyundai Motor Group says will implement "the latest Industry 4.0 technologies" (AI, IoT and robotics) in EV production. "TKE Singapore is proud to be associated with this iconic project where two engineering giants — one specializing in horizontal and the other in vertical transportation — come together with the common goal of serving society and caring for future generations by [prioritizing] the green revolution and [addressing] climate change," Ahamed said.
