The Lord desire not a part of ourselves but He desires your heart, mind, soul and body. He desires all of you.
When we serve Him we do so with all our heart, do not reserve it for other things......
Some will not come to church for the love of sport, family, sleep, friends. Some will.not fast for the love of food that is fleeting away.
Some have many things that have become like a god to them
During this time of fasting some are waking up in the pot. They are not fasting at all

Philippians 3:18-19 For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: whose end is destruction, whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame—who set their mind on earthly things.

Do not be given to every desire of your flesh.
Do not be moved by common sense more but faith.
Be moved by God more than you are moved by fear
