During the debate last week, Donald Trump admitted that Vladimir Putin had told him about his plans to take Ukraine, which was at least two years before he actually launched the invasion. If what Trump is saying is true, then that means he knew the attack was going to happen and did nothing to inform US intelligence agencies that it was going to happen - and he certainly didn't warn our allies in Ukraine.
Also, Fox News host Sean Hannity couldn't be any happier about the fact that CNN allowed Donald Trump to lie without being called out for 90 minutes during Thursday's debate. He went on the air to praise the network for allowing such an atrocity to take place as the rest of the world blasted the network for not doing their most basic journalistic job. Even CNN's own staffers are furious with the network over this decision.
And Ted Cruz had an 11-point lead over his Democratic opponent Colin Allred to begin the month of June, but he ended the month with only a 3-point lead. This is a massive shift in the span of just one month, and Democrats are now feeling re-energized in a state where they haven't won a state-wide race in years. Could the Democrats' dream of turning Texas blue actually be coming true? We'll have to wait and see how this plays out.
Finally, today is the day that Steve Bannon is having to surrender to the courts and begin his four-month prison sentence, and the MAGA world is not happy about it. Republicans in the House tried everything to stop this moment from happening, but to no avail. There's a reason they fought so hard to save him - Bannon is one of the most vital voices in the Republican Party today, and losing that voice in the four months leading to the election could have a serious negative impact on the GOP.
