You may be wondering why I've chosen to get back on my plan (known as "Rezooming" in the Bright Line Eating community) on Thanksgiving day and not the day after. If I wait until the day after, I wouldn't have to worry about what I'm eating. I could just eat whatever I want. In fact, I confess that I have taken this approach before when I wanted to excuse myself from doing the necessary work to "stay bright" (on plan). If a birthday came up, I would give myself permission to go off of plan just for that day and go back on plan the next day. Recently, I realized what that was costing me and what I had to gain by resetting and getting back on my plan the day of Thanksgiving - today! I share this with you in hopes that it will help support you through the holidays and adapting to a new, healthier lifestyle.

Trust me! I've had SO much fear and anxiety surrounding the holidays! Up until today (and today is not over yet but I have already chosen to stay on plan today), I had never successfully made it through the holidays on plan. This was the exact time last year that I derailed and had it not been for my doctor, probably would have remained off plan. I had no experience to draw from. YIKES! I want you to know that you're not alone and that this plan is doable no matter what time of year it is.

Happy Thanksgiving! Know how grateful I am for each of you sharing in this journey of food addiction recovery with me. We all deserve to be healthy and experience long-lasting joy.
