“Revolution: Comes the Spider” Part II. [INCLUDES SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT!!!] In the center of every web there lives or lived a spider. We pass by them every day do we not? The webs that we see, sometimes more visible and sometimes less, and we scarcely give a thought to the hideous creature with many eyes and many legs looking in the darkness, waiting always to feed. A good friend of mine happens to be an entomologist, and a noted one at that. Like all experts she is continually fascinated by her field of study, for whatever reason she just loves bugs: The other day she drew my attention the fact that the gravity that affects us, Newtonian physics, does not necessarily apply on the microgravity level of insects. Have any of you seen how quickly a spider moves? If one was their size, well images are the stuff of nightmares. As she went on talking about this terrible microcosmic world I quipped: “their lives are devoid of sensation and overwhelmed with predation: it’s like a Hollywood party.” Yet the spider which lurks within the webbed enigma of the French revolution was, is, and will always be waiting to feed...on us. And now the time has come to point a finger at directly what will be the principal catalyst of the French Revolution…the Spider itself. The Duke of Orléans.
