Atchara Poomee is the CEO and founder of PAC, a company focused on energy efficiency, heating, cooling and reducing environmental impact. Her company installs products like heat pumps, heat recovery systems, solar air conditioning, etc.
The idea for the business came when Atchara joined her family's air conditioning business and realized they could innovate to utilize waste heat and reduce energy consumption.
The company started small with around 5-10 employees but has now grown to around 70 people across two offices. They have engineering, R&D, sales/marketing and back office teams.
Atchara emphasized the importance of partnerships - with government, innovators, investors, customers, suppliers etc. She aims to prove her venture's worth so partners will support her, and then give back to them when she can.
Key performance metrics are revenue, profit, energy savings/carbon reduction. Goals for last year were $3 million revenue, 10% profit, 10 tonnes carbon reduction, 19 kW energy savings.
Atchara credits her supportive family for helping balance her roles as CEO, wife, mother, daughter. They see the impact she makes through the business and support her venturing.
Andrew highlighted Atchara as an inspiring leader and catalyst, contributing to the climate and startup ecosystem.
