Today I’m joined by contributing editor at Vogue and freelance journalist, Michelle Ruiz, to recap the movie adaptation of our shared favourite book, Robinne Lee’s “The Idea Of You”. ⁣

I first heard of Michelle when she wrote an article for Vogue back in 2020 about my favourite book. Since then, we’ve both been anxiously awaiting the release of the book’s screen adaptation, a movie now available to stream on Prime Video starring Anne Hathaway and Nicholas Galitzine, and directed by Michael Showalter. ⁣

I am THRILLED to have Michelle on the show today to dive deep into both of our POVs on this adaptation. As (very) passionate fans of the book, you can imagine we have some critiques. However, what we can say, is that you have never listened to a more comprehensive review of a book to screen adaptation EVER!! ⁣
