In today’s message, we explored the deep questions of suffering—Why me? Why this pain? How long will it last?

Psalm 22:1-2 reminds us that it’s okay to cry out to God in our suffering, just as David did and as Jesus did on the cross. Our cries are welcomed by God.

Suffering is not random and it’s part of living in a broken world. But even in the midst of our pain, we find hope in God’s eternal promises. Though we may never fully understand the reasons, we can trust that our suffering is not forever and that God will use it for His glory and our growth.

Most importantly, we are invited to rest in the character of God. Psalm 34:17-18 reminds us that God is near to the brokenhearted, and in Matthew 11:28-30, Jesus invites us to find rest in Him, for He is gentle and lowly. Through our suffering, we experience a unique intimacy with our Savior—Jesus, a man of sorrows, acquainted with grief.

As we reflect on today’s sermon, may we continue to cry out to God, trust in His nearness, and rest in His promises.
