Romans 16:1-2, A Devoted Servant

Main Point: Phoebe serves as an example of a willing and generous servant in the early church.

I. Phoebe, the Willing Servant of the Church – 16:1.

II. Phoebe, the Generous Servant of the Church – 16:2-3.

See Philippians 3:3-5

Application

Women and men are equally valuable to the mission and health of the church!
Women are not less valuable if they do not hold ordained office.
Both men and women should seek to embrace and excel in the roles assigned by God.
Warning. If we lose the God-ordained differences between man and woman, we dishonor God, and we lose the gospel purpose of marriage!
