In this uplifting episode, visual artist Colleen Talbot shares her personal journey as a creative, from when she discovered the flow state through art as a child, through her process and life experience, and now how she loves guiding others to connect with their Soul expression through painting. There are so many gem tidbits in this conversation that will connect, inspire and relate with many of you ~ whether you are naturally interested in art or not. Colleen Talbot offers very useful advice to brand new painters ~ including how to choose colors at the start of a painting, the usefulness of setting an intention for each piece and to be lighthearted about the process ("this is not going into the Louvre", she jokes). Colleen emphasizes how creating art can be absolutely transforming and healing and how it helps us connect with our Soul (or higher knowing). It's really about the process of creation, not the end result. Many of us know this rationally; however integrating this knowledge and experiencing it in our approach to life is pretty amazing.
