Amanda Townsend, VP Global People Operations at Fivetran Inc. joins Hiring University. Amanda built, championed, launched, and now manages FiveTran’s Representation Policy, which is similar to the NFL’s Rooney Rule. Amanda shares the success of this program as well as other insights for job seekers and hiring managers.

We implemented a policy called the Representation Policy. For any director-level position, or above at Fivetran, it is required that at least 30% of candidates in the final stages of the interview process are from an underrepresented background, meaning, female or an underrepresented ethnic minority. We've actually seen a pretty big increase in our female leadership in the last two quarters and our goal eventually is to implement this for all of our positions at the company.
