Today’s guest is Stephen Scalet. Stephen is an expert in the field of research with over 25 years of experience. He was previously Head of Economics & Research at the Emirates National Oil Company and Deputy Director of Economic Affairs at the Executive Affairs Authority before transitioning to his current role as Scientific Advisor in the Global Sector at Trends Research & Advisory, an independent research institution here in Abu Dhabi that aims to contribute to the shaping of the future.

During this episode we discuss how think tanks carry out research, what are the qualities of a good researcher, the different types of research and the challenge of managing internal biases in research.
