In the early 1990s, the Lord began to open doors for a new kind of relationship between Christ’s Center Church and a church called Bethel Gospel Assembly in Harlem, NY.
It all started as an act of obedience when Jon led their High School ministry team to New York City to do street evangelism in Harlem, which at the time was one of The City’s roughest neighborhoods. While out doing ministry on the streets, Jon heard the Lord direct them off the main street to a local public grade school. After boldly walking in off the street as complete strangers, and asking if they could perform their Gospel-based drama "Zion" for the entire school, they saw amazing things happen that none of them could have planned simply by obeying God's voice.
