Tuesday Tea Summer Series: On Navigating Grief, Coming Out Later In Life and Thriving as a "Childless Cat Lady" with Rachel Mullin
Manage episode 436462082 series 3490956
Welcome to the pod multi-talented / disciplined creative and the best friend you wish you had in your corner, Rachel Mullin!
Rachel was born and raised in Massachusetts in a house built by her great-grandfather, in a town of family and football fans. After graduating from Emerson College in Boston, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career as a TV writer. While that didn’t job path hasn’t quite panned out, she has been working in and around the company currently known as Paramount Global for twenty years in almost every department. Right now she’s in finance, so she fills her free time as one of those dangerous “childless cat ladies” you’ve heard so much about, spending time with her friends and seeing family when she can. She sews, knits, crochets, writes, makes jewelry and gemstone trees and collects methods of carrying her DSLR camera around. Her life may not look like what she thought it would once upon a time, but it works for her. We have a fantastic, enlightening conversation in which we talk about grief, finding ones community, pivoting career paths, thriving in middle-age as a "dangerous childless cat lady" and coming out as demisexual later in life. You don't want to miss this one.
