In this weeks episode, Pastors Kyle, Blake, and Doug discuss the following:

Last week there was a question about the chosen people of God. How does the 144,000 sealed Israelites from Revelation 7 fit into this question

AER afrter thinking about Jesus, taking the time to connect his mother with John and vice versa, as mother and son, I wondered why He did it—Mary had other sons, including James, who would end up following Jesus’ teachings? But then I wondered whether Jesus knew his family, including his mother, needed the discipleship of someone like John, who could help her see why Jesus had to die. Perhaps it was through this that James came to understand and become a leader(?

It feel like the gospel of Luke negates the story of the magi, and Jesus’ family moving to Egypt since “ Every year Jesus’ parents traveled to Jerusalem for the Feast of Passover. When he was twelve years old, they went up as they always did for the Feast. ”. How could they travel from Egypt or risk Herod.?

15:28 into episode

with everything happening politically in both Canada and the states, do you think it will push people away from christianity? mainly with the right wing "christian nationalism" movements, do you think it would turn new or newer followers of Jesus away

Most jobs are the kind of thing where you clock in and clock out, meaning the hours outside of work are focused on non-work things. Is that the same with being a pastor? Are you able to “clock out”, or is your pastor hat always on? In addition, how do you develop boundaries in the role? Are you always “on call”?
