On the September 11th, 2021 edition of Notre Dame Federal Credit Union's Irish Sports Saturdays, host Angelo Di Carlo chats 1-on-1 with the hero of Notre Dame's week 1 victory, Jonathan Doerer. The Irish kicker booted the game winning field goal versus Florida State to lift Notre Dame to a 41-38 overtime win. Doerer reflects on the moment and his time on the team, that has included ups and downs. He speaks out coming back for an extra year thanks to the Covid rule and what it means for him to be a student at Notre Dame. Doerer has a strong Catholic faith and he says it has only grown by being on Notre Dame's campus.
