Sharing the gospel in its fullness can be hard. That is, it can be hard to explain it to some Christians. The Gospel teaches Christians that our sins have been completely paid for and will be remembered no more. It teaches us that we will be presented as blameless on judgment day, and that there is no judgment for the one who believes in Jesus.
It seems that presenting this idea of total forgiveness through faith offends the religious ego. In fact, you would find that most churches are also hesitant to teach this message of COMPLETE forgiveness, even when you screw up (and we all do). They call it hyper-grace. They call it a license to sin. They call it fire insurance. But are they right? Does God limit his forgiveness? Can we out sin the goodness of God and the finished work of Jesus on the cross? I don't think so.
If you're a believer God swears he will NEVER leave you or forsake you. Focus on that word never. If you're a believer God says when you are faithless he will remain faithful. Notice he's not looking at your performance and your faithfulness in order for him to remain faithful. No Christian performs perfectly. You are safe and secure because Jesus Christ performed perfectly. We do not activate forgiveness by begging God. We do not activate forgiveness by confessing over and over. Forgiveness is activated all at once the moment you put your faith in Jesus Christ and trust him to rescue you from your sins.
The problem is because very few people, including pastors, deacons, and other religious leaders, have failed to understand the old covenant versus the new covenant. In this podcast, we are going to fully explain the old covenant and how it's applied to Christians, and this will equip you to share the grace message with total confidence. We want you to be able to defend God's word when faced with combative legalists who do not trust God's children with too much grace. I honestly think this is one of the best messages we've ever shared. It is certainly missing from most churches today. I hope that you will help spread the goodness of God!
