Would you believe me if I told you that the screen of the computer or phone you are viewing this episode from is making you fatter? What if I were to inform you that the overhead lights in your home and workplace were increasing your risk of breast cancer and depression? Unfortunately, both of those are true statements, plus many more shocking facts as we'll learn with my guest today.

Welcome to the Just Dumb Enough Podcast. A show that acknowledges no one is always an expert, by dispelling misconceptions with real experts.

My guest today is Dr. Martin Moore-Ede. The good doctor was previously a professor of Harvard Medical School before he left academia in search of a solution to the problem he was seeing: The devastating effects of our current LED lights on the human body. After 250 separate scientists confirmed Dr. Moore-Ede's theory, he set out to invent a new lightbulb that won't harm you... and he succeeded.
It's a fascinating interview about a thing we really take for granted, and I know I learned a lot just listening to him.
A little heads up that the guest side of this conversation is not necessarily the audio quality you may be used to, but I've done what I can to help and you'll adapt pretty quickly with that wonderful brain you've got.

Let's light it up!

I'm personally picking up a couple of these blue-free LED lights because I'm usually up quite late working on this show, and I'd like to not develop diabetes or cancer because I like to see in the dark.

The top country rankings have updated a bit:

1. The United States, still led by New York, Oregon, and Illinois.
2. The United Kingdom, with England way out front.
3. Canada, with British Columbia taking the lead from the normal powerhouse province.
4. Australia, with New South Wales holding it's spot.
5. Ireland tied with New Zealand.

That's it for this week! Have a great week, a great weekend, and I'll see you all back here for another new episode!
Until the next episode, pretty please do all the things to help the show: rate, review, like, and subscribe.
