The problem is, in this modern world, we've become so addicted to ease and comfort that we've got a culture that has created "exit strategy" saints... As humans we tend to think of any negative circumstance or painful situation as punitive. It is part of our nature to view these times with a “why me?” or “what’s the quickest way to end it” mindset.
