On today’s South Asia edition of APEX Express, on the occasion of domestic violence awareness month of October, producer Preeti Gamzeh sits down in discussion with Amrita Doshi, from SOAR South Asian Rising, a growing and powerful network of South Asian organizations across the United States, working to end gender based violence.

October is also the festive season of Navaratri, but it is also that time of the year when the bay area is host to one of the most popular film festivals, the annual thirdi film festival in San Francisco! Find out about this year’s wonderful line up from Anuj Vaidya who spoke with Nishtha Jain, Rucha Chitnis and Alka Raghuram, three wonderful feminist filmmakers whose films are screening at this year’s festival!
