Established in August 2020, KRUNK KULTURE is a record label from the future by KRUNK. "Cool Cat, Jazz Cat" by Farhan Rehman is our next EP on Krunk Kulture. The first single of the EP, "Cool Cat, Jazz Cat," combines Farhan's shared passion of House and Jazz, and also a dedication to his pet cat is sure to captivate music lovers worldwide. Seamlessly blending the rhythmic allure of latin jazz with the infectious energy of house music, the track's intricate layers of instrumentation interplay harmoniously, ensuring a captivating and dynamic sonic experience from start to finish. Kicking off with a dynamic, yet finely tuned, percussion and drums, the track is accompanied by rhythmic Rhodes that have a chromatic movement and a funk inspired bass-line. A saxophone then takes over, supported by jazzy piano riffs, that elegantly compliments the track's underlying groove. The vivacity of Latin jazz, known for its expressive melodies and infectious rhythms, intertwines seamlessly with the high-energy pulse of house music, resulting in a track that is as culturally rich as it is dancefloor-friendly. "Cool Cat, Jazz Cat" is a testament to Farhan Rehman's prowess as a versatile producer, deftly combining two diverse musical genres into an irresistible auditory journey. Whether you're a devoted fan of jazz or a house music lover, this track promises to captivate your senses and leave you craving for more. The second track on the EP, "Kalakuta," is a pulsating single that pays homage to the iconic Kalakuta Republic, the heart of musician and political luminary Fela Kuti's creative and revolutionary vision. Rooted in the rhythmically charged world of Afrobeat and African funk, the track embarks on a cross-genre exploration, infusing these timeless elements into the dynamic landscape of afro house. The result is a masterpiece that encapsulates the essence of unity, dance, and liberation. The afro house foundation of the track propels listeners to move their bodies, transcending boundaries and connecting souls. It's an invitation to celebrate, to come together, and to experience the communal spirit of music that echoes Fela Kuti's vision. Get ready to dance, to feel the pulse of unity, and to honor the legacy of Kalakuta Republic in a whole new way.
