Jackson Hole in the Winter
Manage episode 319877665 series 3314152
Jackson Hole Wyoming is a nature lover's paradise. We've enjoyed and explored it in the summer for many years, but never in the winter. In this episode we ski Jackson Hole Resort, cross-country ski along Teton Park Road and snowshoe to the famous Moulton barns on Mormon Row. We see thousands of elk in the National Elk Refuge, two bald eagles on top of an elk carcass, bighorn sheep sunning themselves on a ridge and snow-covered bison along Highway 89. All of this with the stunning backdrop of the majestic peaks of the Grand Tetons. Grand Teton National Park is much different in the winter. It's much quieter. A fraction of the tourists who invade the park in the summer. And the town of Jackson is also much quieter. If you're there on a Tuesday night check out the bluegrass band called One Ton Pig. They've been playing at the Silver Dollar Bar and Grill every Tuesday night for the past 15 years.Just be prepared to dance or leave in a hurry. In this Let's Talk with Mark and Michelle, our experiences in Jackson Hole during the winter. Enjoy.
