We interview Kevin Kwong, who overnight became one of the most recognizable faces of the mpox (fka monkeypox) outbreak. We hear his first-hand account of what happened, and how he found the courage to share all his bizness to major news outlets. We also get to know the amazing human behind the face - learning how to hit on guys at the club, how to pull off a Coachella marriage proposal, and how to earn a "playa name."
Note: We recorded this episode last year, before the CDC updated the virus's term to "mpox" to reduce stigma and other issues associated with prior terminology. So we refer to the virus as "monkeypox" in the episode (but don't anymore!). Please forgive us <3.
