×Today's message introduces us to Samuel's parents, Elkanah and Hannah. Elkanah worshipped the Lord and walked in genuine obedience, evidencing his true love for God and family, even when discouraged by his wife's barrenness. Both he and Hannah modelled a faithfulness and dependence on God in the home where Samuel would be nurtured and raised. His parents' life of prayer was powerful in shaping Samuel's character, preparing him for his eventual positioning as a leader for God's people. Our children are watching - what do they see?…
Through Paul's prayer today we learn the importance of seeking a deeper understanding of God’s will for our lives. We must pray for wisdom and spiritual insight, asking God to guide our decisions and help us live in a way that honours Him. As we grow in faith, we should aim to bear fruit through our actions, reflecting His love and truth in the world around us. Paul also encourages us to rely on God’s strength to face challenges with endurance and joy, always remembering to thank God for the blessings and hope we have through Christ. Pursue spiritual growth, live purposefully, and find strength in God's power!…

As genuine followers of Christ, we are called to be salt and light in the world, but what does this actually mean? Just as salt was used as a preservative in Jesus' time, Christians are also to live lives that preserve morality and slow the spiritual decay we see in the current culture of this world. We also are to be light in this world, shining it through good works so that Christ receives the glory. In today's message, Pastor Robbie examines and exposits this important call on the life of the Christ-follower.…
What a powerful reflection on Psalm 90:12-17! It really brings to light how we often take the preciousness of life for granted, and yet, the psalmist’s prayer reminds us to live intentionally, seeking God’s wisdom. The brevity of life, paired with the hope of God’s favour, really underscores how important it is to align our hearts with His will. God's favour is the ultimate blessing, offering not just temporal benefits, but eternal significance and peace. It’s humbling to think that His presence is what sustains us, and the more we seek His guidance, the more our lives can reflect His purpose. What do you think it looks like in practice to truly seek and live in God’s favour?…

In Psalm 51:7-13, David continues his prayer of repentance after his sin with Bathsheba. He asks God to purify him, using the imagery of being cleansed with hyssop, a plant used for ceremonial purification. David acknowledges that only God can truly wash away his sins and restore his inner purity. He pleads for a clean heart and a renewed spirit, asking God not to cast him away or take His Holy Spirit from him, recognizing the importance of God's presence in his life. He also prays for joy and gladness to be restored, seeking reconciliation with God. It’s a heartfelt plea for renewal, for cleansing from sin, restoration of a right relationship with God, and a commitment to help others turn to Him as well.…

We begin a new series today examining great prayers of the Bible. Exodus 33:12-23 finds Moses conversing with God as he expresses a desire for God's presence to remain with the Israelites as they journey to the Promised Land. Moses asks God to show him His ways so that he can know God more intimately and lead the people effectively. God responds by assuring Moses of His presence and grace, but Moses presses further, boldly asking God to show him His glory. God agrees to reveal His goodness, but says that no one can see His full glory and live. Instead, God allows Moses to see His back, protecting him in the process. It’s a moment of profound relationship between Moses and God, showing both God's greatness and His willingness to draw near to His servant. God's presence is where true peace, joy and security is found - let Moses' prayer be ours as well!…
Jesus is the ultimate peacemaker - the "Prince of Peace." Through His death and resurrection, He reconciled sinful humanity to God, bringing peace between us and our Creator. As believers strive to become more like Christ, it naturally follows that we, too, are called to be peacemakers. Today's message reminds us that while Christ came to bring peace, He endured great persecution in the process. Similarly, as Christians, we should expect to face persecution as we stand firm in our faith and remain obedient to His word. Paul reminds us in 2 Timothy 3:12, "Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted." In this final Beatitude, take comfort in knowing that when we are persecuted for righteousness' sake, God's blessings will follow!…
