Raised in the Bronx by his mother after his father is sentenced to prison, teenage Melvin starts down a path of crime. It doesn't take long for Melvin to get in over his head and find himself facing second degree attempted m*rder charges. Sentenced to spend jail time at the infamous Rikers Island, we learn how Melvin navigated the system and what he had to do in order to survive.
