After a Christmas and New Year’s break, Jess and Jacob are back! Restocked with new Tigers tops thanks to Father Christmas and plenty of Pork pies (and with Jess recovering from a nasty bug), we finally review the home game defeat to league leaders Sarries in which we pay reverence to that superb team try scored by Fran McGhie that had Sarries pushing the Marlie Packer panic button. After that we go through the two rounds of PWR action with Tigers going on a bye week, and focus on not just the success of Big Game 15 but also where Tigers can look to target a unusually out of form Quins side. We also are back with another in depth Player Profile with looking at Team GB Olympic Sevens athlete Celia Quansah as we look into the relationship between women’s rugby and LGBT/Q+ and BAME representation and how Project Rugby could be expanded to work with the PWR as well as the men’s game. We round off this mega, not bumper, mega episode with a preview of this weekend’s London double header fixture, with the men playing Saracens with the women taking on Quins afterwards, including quality analysis such as raving about Ellie Kildunne’s hair, Jacob’s lucky socks and (you guessed it) pies! Enjoy.
