Welcome to Episode 68-This is the Finale of the Bitsa Park Maniac aka Alexander Pickhushkin. In this episode I break down how Investigators needed to make sure that everything Pickhushkin had told them was not a macquination of his imagination. We have seen criminals confess only to recant their statements and accuse officials of being coerced into making a false confession. Investigators needed to have substantial evidence of his culpability for the prosecution. They Bring Pickhushkin to the Scene of his crime in Bitsa park. In February of 2002, 4 years earlier, an unsolved crime was reported to police by hospital personnel. A patient came in with curious injuries. The woman has a story to tell when investigators get there. Her name is Maria Viricheva, 19 she (survived). She said she met Alexander Pichushkin. She says she met him at a metro station. She had split with a bf and was struggling to make ends meet. She said she was crying and he approached her, asked her what was wrong and offered her a drink. He offered to sell her some cameras he said they were in Bitsa park. Maria was pregnant at the time. He took her to a remote place and told her they were in the sewers. Her story is one of true survival and a story that could have exposed a monster 4 years earlier. Thank You all again for your support. I appreciate you. The story told should be about the victims. Serial Killers are glorified and given public attention which takes away from the victims he exploited and murdered.
