Aldous Huxley is best known for his influential work "Brave New World". This thought-provoking literary classic envisions a dystopian future in which technological progress and state control replace individuality, freedom and human relationships. Published in 1932, Huxley's vision of a future dominated by technological progress and control seems prophetic. What relevance does the novel have for today's world? How should we respond to the rise of new technologies such as artificial intelligence? Why is it important to read and what role will books play in our future?

In this episode, we discuss these topics with Audrey Unverferth, MCC Visiting Fellow, writer and co-founder of the Chicago Thinker.
