Manage episode 321867344 series 3087934
In this Episode, We discuss about how to properly end a conversation
- Topics that we cover in this episode!
NOT EVERY CONVERSATION MUST GO SMOOTHLY
You can never please everyone.... There will be times when people just doesn't want to engage in a conversation with you. It might not actually be your fault so don't take any failed conversation too heavily.
It might that they are having a bad day or something big was troubling their mind that isn't relavent with you AT ALL!
As long as you're putting yourself out there saying hi... You're on the right track!
SMALL TALK IS A WASTE OF TIME?
We also pointed out how often because we are unable to have a proper ending to a conversation, it makes the entire conversation meaningless and we feel that starting any form of conversation is just a waste of time.
Too many times we create a conversation and it ends up not being fruitful between the two parties.
The most important idea is to find out how you both an benefit one another.
HOW TO MAKE YOUR CONVERSATION SUPER DUPER MEANINGFUL!
Aaroson's technique is to ask "So I know this might be weird but, do you have a big problem that you're handling right now that I can help with?"
This way, if you or you know someone that can help with their problem, you can quickly help them to solve a problem!
If not, you have to keep their problem in mind and eventually you will be in a position to help or know someone who can.
PLANNING ANOTHER MEET UP?
The best way to plan a meet up can be to set a tentative date (With a common hobby or interest) and keep it as a SOFT BOOKING, then when the date is nearer, give the person a call or a text.
HOW MANY CLOSE FRIENDS CAN YOU REALLY HAVE?
Our number is below 10... Even tho we met so many people around we are unable to be CLOSE friends with a lot of them. You don't need toooo many friends, focus on getting more quality rather than quantity.
MAKE SURE THAT YOU'RE MEMORABLE
Leave inside jokes, Unique stories or find something about them that is really interesting and show appreciation for it.
It is best to prepare some Jokes, stories before hand and practise telling them! It helps you as a fallback plan if everything becomes stale!
