Adjusting to Ordinary - Sam Antosh
Manage episode 318274382 series 3125116
The chapel theme for the 2021-2022 year is "upRoar". The Greek word that is translated as “uproar” isἐκταράσσω (ektarassō),: to agitate, to disturb wholly, to exceedingly trouble. Although an uproar is “seen,” it is preceded with a subversive force. The church operates in a similar way, being subversive to the rhythm of the culture it exists within. It is the perpetuation of this subversive force that causes and creates an uproar that is seen and felt.
It is our goal this year to explore ways for us to participate in the subversive kingdom force that will create an uproar in the culture God calls us to.
About the Speaker:
Sam Antosh is a Boise Bible Alum. He received his B.A. in Preaching Ministry, and then went on to receive his M.A. in Theological Studies. He, his wife, little girl, and soon-to-be son reside in Adrian, OR. He has been the pastor of Adrian Community Church since 2018. Prior to that, he was a youth pastor in Meridian. He says, "I love small-town ministry because of its laid-back, relational nature. I get to serve in the church, serve in the school, and spend lots of time with people."
