After six years and the evidence of hundreds of survivors, the Royal Commission of Inquiry into Abuse in Care has delivered its final report to the Governor-General. The 2500-page report, Whanaketia - through pain and trauma, from darkness to light, was handed over to Dame Cindy Kiro yesterday afternoon and will now go to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Brooke van Velden. But it will be weeks before its made public as parliament goes into recess at the end of this week and won't sit again until July the 23rd. RNZ reporter Timothy Brown has more.
