In this episode I had the privilege of having Billy Gowers come on to talk to us about his life as an AFL footballer with the Carlton and Western Bulldogs before his recent transition to becoming a Barber. Bill’s determination and hard work helped him make it to the AFL, and he is still using those skills today owning his own business as a Barber. We discussed that his identity wasn’t tied up in being an AFL player, and that we are all more than what out job title is.

Here are some key points that Bill and I spoke about:
- Embracing your weird
- Mentors and mentoring
- Not attaching your identity to your job
- The decision behind following his passion for fashion and hair
- The ups and downs of his AFL career
- The feeling of running out in his first AFL game

I hope you all enjoy listening to the conversation Bill and I had and can take some inspiration from the stories he shares, to help you all on your self improvement journeys.
