Barry first found music when he borrowed his sister's record collection when he was about eight and was hooked. When Caroline started it was a new beginning, and he listened to all the stations, but Caroline was his favourite by far. Later he became a singer in a band, then started doing discos when he was 18. Written by David Gilmore and Roger Waters, Gilmore performs all vocals and guitars on this classic tune. We highlight an outtake version of the song with jazz violinist Stephane Grappelli. After the massive commercial hit of The Dark Side Of The Moon the band was a little lost in the studio and stumbled upon this timeless song almost accidentally.
