Peter and Alice begin their analysis of Christopher Marlowe's "The Tragical History of the Life and Death of Doctor Faustus."
They begin by considering the context of the play and the mystery surrounding Marlowe, before explaining the way the play challenges orthodox religious views of the time, and analysing the opening speech from the chorus. They suggest that the play is an Early Modern celebration of science and rationalism.
