Lisa Blue Baron Introduces Her New Book and Podcast
Manage episode 351029551 series 2852372
Lisa Blue Baron, a trial attorney at Athea Trial Lawyers, has had a prolific legal career that has made a monumental impact on the industry. She was elected President of the American Association for Justice in 2014 and has written multiple books that attorneys consider required reading including her 2004 book, Blue’s Guide to Jury Selection, the ‘bible’ of jury selection. In 2015, she was inducted into the U.S. Trial Lawyers Hall of Fame.
She joins us on the pod to introduce her new book. Expected to be released in 2023, the book —complete with visual guides—aims to help judges improve their social and emotional intelligence skills and better connect with juries. The jury selection process is crucial to any trial, and the better a judge can understand and connect with jury members, the better that trial will be.
Tune in for a sneak peek at some of the tips her book will include, as well as to learn about a brand new podcast Lisa is working on that will be featured on Lawyer Minds. The new podcast will be called “How to Be a Great Trial Judge” and aims to help judges improve their professional skillsets. There are key differences that set a decent judge apart from a great one. This pod will delve into those differences and help judges do their jobs to the best of their ability.
