Welcome to Episode 143! This week The Boys are excited to welcome back special guest, Miss Coco Sho-Nell! The last few months have seen many legislative attacks directed at the LGBTQ+ community including our Drag Queens. Mark & Casey have been keeping tabs on the actions being taken by States in the United States and have held off on talking about these "bans" and attacks until this week.
In early March, Tennessee became the first state to put a "drag ban" in place outlawing drag performances in certain spaces and audiences. Since then, many other states have introduced bills/ laws mirroring or even going further than Tennessee. Which states? What are the specifics? What kind of penalties? Casey, Mark, & Coco are reviewing the info here in Part 1 of our discussion on the "Drag Bans" along with some initial thoughts and opinions. It's a hot topic and one you won't want to miss.
