Welcome to the latest edition of the Providence Journal college basketball podcast. Journal sports writer Bill Koch was joined by WPRI 12 and Fox Providence sports director Morey Hershgordon to review the hoops scene in the state.

Providence (5:00) expects to return from its COVID-19 pause Thursday night against Georgetown. The Friars have been idle since a Jan. 8 over St. John's.

The University of Rhode Island women (16:45) are atop the Atlantic 10 after a Monday win over Massachusetts. It's an exciting time in Kingston.

The Rams men (23:15) are in the midst of a schedule pocket where they could reel off a string of wins in a row. The latest was against the Minutemen on Saturday.

Bryant (34:10) is playing among the contenders in the Northeast Conference. The Bulldogs blasted Saint Francis (Pa.) last time out to keep pace.

Brown (45:35) has pressure on its shoulders after a Monday loss to Yale. The Bears find themselves in a fight to remain alive for an Ivy Madness berth in March.
