The more you let life’s challenges weigh you down, the harder it is for you to achieve the greatness you were meant for. So, rather than carry a bag full of baggage, just carry the bag–open and ready for opportunity. Today’s Power Mom is determination personified. Michelle Talbert of Her Power Space, was already a mother of small children as she began her power path. And, in those moments where society and naysayers (and even a pandemic) tried to keep her down, she kept pursuing that bag–not that baggage. Time and time again, she released what did not serve her and continued forward to blaze a path not only for herself, but many others as well. She learned that if you let go of the baggage–your trauma, your self-doubt, societal myths, and other people’s expectations–if you can put that stuff down, you’ll be able to pick up everything that is meant for you. More About Michelle: Michelle Y. Talbert is a recovering corporate attorney who hosts trainings, masterminds and goal-setting intensives for women in business around the country. She is the Founder and Chief Curator of Her Power Space—a woman forward, men welcoming, hospitality-based coworking and event venue serving side hustlers and solopreneurs from her space in Lauderhill, near Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Michelle is a graduate of Cornell University and the University of Pennsylvania School of Law and holds a Certificate in Business Policy and Management from the Wharton School of Business; all achieved while raising her two school-aged children as a divorced, single mom. Originally from New York City, Michelle lives in Broward County, FL.
