Meet Nicole, of Emerald Awakenings, she's the person I would have probably been best friends with in High School, kind of nerdy (Jeopardy fan!) very smart and fucking cool about it. The kind of person who grew up working in a cemetery with her grandparents, and was nicknamed "Claire" not just because she's gingery and a little spicy, but because of her other similarities to the character from the show Six Feet Under. Because unlike many people, Nicole is comfortable around Death. For some people that can feel morbid, or strange, but to me it's what makes her fierce.
One of the other things I really admire about Nicole is that she is a paperwork Queen! One of the hardest parts of End of Life planning is filling out the forms, or writing out or wishes, so that people who love us and care for us know what our "good death" would be.
With someone like Nicole as your guide the task doesn't have to be as arduous or intimidating, it could be creative and fun!
