So grateful to have her as a friend, and inspiration in this work.

If you are looking for a new perspective on grief, and how to give yourself permission to just be with it, I would absolutely encourage you to go follow her now. She is a queer and FABULOUS host of a space called Black Folks Grieve (along with A Tribe Called Queer) and I have enjoyed her personal shares and wisdom for years on her page. One thing the algorithm does not encourage is stepping back to take space, to be quiet, to mourn on out own time. In this conversation we talked about the universality of Grief and how it intersects with harm to communities that are already trying to heal.
