We're discussing Sound of Metal this week. Spoilers ahead since it's difficult to even talk about this film from a spoiler free perspective. We can't recommend this film enough. It's powerful, moving, emotional, beautiful, hopeful, and heartbreaking all within two hours. Films like these are important because it gives the majority of people an inside look into those who are different from them. This film allow us to see what life is like for those in the deaf community and that their deafness is not something they consider a weakness. We discuss everything from the obvious sound design, to the cinematography, and story structure and characters. You can watch Sound of Metal now on Amazon Prime.
